Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

Very Fun Round
Great condition and a lot of fun. The wind made it challenging.
Course in great shape
There was a slight build up on the 1st because with the three courses they had a delay on buggies so when we got to the 1st tee, the starter moved us to the 10th tee. Had a great round as regards the pace of play. Course was in great shape. It’s a must play with holes replicating St. Andrews in Scotland.
Awesome links style course
Great, great course. 5* from start to finish. A really FUN course to play. Highly recommended.
Great links course, we enjoyed playing the course. Somethings were a little disappointing, there was no information about the layout of the holes at the tee box areas, like all the other courses we played, we were playing blind, no GPS device in the carts like all the other good courses we played. On the first day of our golf week my driver broke, all the courses we played during the week loaned me a premium drive at no cost but not at Grand Cypress.
Top class course's
We booked an afternoon tee off time, the place was packed. There were no buggies prior to teeing off, probably because people were taking too long on the course. The place of play when we did get out there was very slow & it was cold so that made it worse , we played 12 holes & came off. Apart from that all was good.
Wonderful Day of Links Golf
Played a number of top courses in the area during this week and surprisingly found this to be a favorites. The course was in great condition and it was a lot of fun trying to navigate the various bunkers, including pot bunkers, in and around the fairways, which you usually don't experience. Also refreshing to play an open course without trees and shrubs being a factor.
Very busy
Upon arrival we knew it was going to be a long day when he had to park in the overflow lot (mowed field). We arrived 45 minutes ahead of time and spent 45 minutes waiting for carts. No Marshalls to encourage cart hoarders to turn their carts in before chatting about their (large group’s) round. Essentially allowed five minutes to warm up and then had the starter give me the eye as if it was our fault the group was late. Otherwise, the course was fine except you cannot tell where #11 is if you take a wrong turn from the green on #10 and a staff girl watching another group had no idea as to how to get to it.
Disappointed
Played the original corses 25 years ago and was awed by the condition and amenities. Played the New Course this time and if that is indicative of the resort in general then it has definitely slipped a notch or two. The practice tee needs to be twice the size to accommodate all the players and the only putting green was near the first tee and was very poor.
great layout
course was in great shape. different, but fun to play.
Beautiful Course BUT
Beautiful course in great condition with wide fairways, but at this price point there's no excuse running out of carts. Arrived hour early and walked to range, walked to putting green and saw dozens of single bag carts at both locations. Only the starter made sure 2 bags per cart before tee off and we got our cart just 10 minutes before tee time. Beautiful range, but only 2 distance flags? Lots of false fronts on lightning fast firm greens and more and deeper fairway bunkers than I normally see with many dead center on fairway. Course management essential so bring GPS or rangefinder. A must play, fun links style course.
Always a treat from the front gate to the lounge after the round. That is a must if you can get a tee time.
It is worth every pennie,a treat in your hoiday.
Links Golf
Nice layout with some very nice design. The course is not well marked therefore it causes a lengthy delay to golfers. GPS on the carts would be a wise addition as the holes tend to meld together which often leads to golfers playing the same fairways. Unless it becomes better marked, I would not play here again.
Great golf and service!
Played back to back days with my son and enjoyed both rounds and lunch after. Every aspect top notch. Will always be on our agenda when I’m Orlando.
How is $120+/round a "Excellent Value"?
