Course is in very good condition
It looks like they have been doing some work on the on the course and it’s in the best shape I’ve seen it in a while. Pace of play could have been better.
Good course for beginners
The fairways and greens were in great shape but the green side bunkers need some maintenance, proper drainage and grass removable think this would add overall quality to the total experience of play to the golfers game. The starter is very nice and helpful wish all courses had a individual like him.
Scenic Layout - Will be Back
Enjoyed my round. It’s been a few years since I last played. I had forgotten the scenic layout of the Fri t nine. Overall in good shape. It appears they’ve decided to let the sand traps go - grass- weeds growing in a number of them. Not sure if a conscious decision or a maintenance-staffing issue. Played two days after Idalia came through, though, so they get a pass. Plus I only got in one - it was mostly under water but I found a spot to take a drop. I’ll be back.
Serious weed problem
The greens were very good. However, the crabgrass and goosegrass have taken over everywhere else. Rough didn’t seem to be mowed for a while. Had a great time with friends.
Great value and Davis Love design
I have always enjoyed going to Laurel Links. Overall course conditions are great including green surfaces. Some part of the green areas were under construction but it did not impact your play. Overall a great course. I am pleased with the price point to play and it is certainly a great value. Wish many of the courses in Jacksonville’s followed suit. If you live in the North Florida and South Georgia area, good play Laurel Island Links.
Great course
From the time you enter the clubhouse until you leave is a fantastic experience. The staff, club and course are absolutely amazing.
Been awhile
Course was in excellent shape
Fairways and all greens except 15 are very playable.
And only a corner of 15 was chewed up
Only bad part was the traps need to be replaced
They are really poor
Overall, worth the drive from jax
Sat Links
Overall course conditions was great. I would suggest the restaurant to be open for weekend morning tee times. Breakfast, ice, drinks, and other amenities is good to have before tee times. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff is awesome.
Keep up the good works
Bang For Your Buck
Had an excellent round this past weekend. Such an easy drive from Jacksonville to the course. Will be back soon!
Alright, but lack of service and help.
When we arrived at the course, there was no bag drop area or greeter so we double parked by the front door and when into the pro shop to check in and get the lay of the land. Check-in was fine, but I found it strange that the counter person said to return just prior to our tee time to get the key for the cart. Without any cart at this point, we parked the car and ended up having to carry our bags across the parking lot to the practice area. Just prior to our tee time I went back into the pro shop to ask for a cart key at which point the counter person said that someone outside was looking for us to give us a cart. We got the cart and had to load our own bags. Again no assistance or guidance regarding the course. We found our way to the first tee where we were told we were being paired with a single golfer. We found course conditions to be acceptable not great. Bunkers lacked sand and were hard pan. Some had residual puddles of water in them. Pace of play was quite slow. I guess the trade off to this is there was no pressure to maintain a faster pace of play. This club is more a community course with lots of resident members. There were few outside visitors such as us. IMO the greens fee for 9 holes was reasonable so in the end you get what you pay for. I would not return to play this course again nor recommend playing this course unless you're a beginner or on a limited budget.
