I took your site's advice and booked tee times for Foxfire Golf Club outside Sarasota, Fla. What a joke. Six of us from Michigan could not believe the conditions. There are no fairways. I mean NO GRASS on most of the holes. The course management never said a thing about the conditions when we asked. Three men in our party quit after six holes and demanded their money back.
There are too many Florida publications that list this golfcourse as a top place to play. They had better reevaluate their opinion.

Thank you for taking the time to warn golfers like myself on vacation in a place we do not know well enough before booking a round.
I have today played the worst golf course I have ever played at Sarasota Golf Club. Fairways made up of weed and rough grass, greens that someone has taken dozens of divots out of which have been filled with sand, some greens that are virtually sand and no grass at all. I got to the 15th and walked off. At $25 plus tax to walk in the afternoon it's a rip off. PLEASE DON'T GO THERE.
Best Wishes.
