Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

Great Course, Great Time, Great Day
Fantastic all the way around, top notch facilities, great staff, could not have been a better afternoon. Played the course 3 different times during our stay in Orlando and enjoyed it more and more each time. Thank you!
Lincs style course in Florida
Interesting course to play in Florida With shared greens and silken burn and st Andrews style bridge The course was in excellent condition Plenty of room off the tee but with lots of well placed bunkers Definately worth playing!
Surprising Firsts Visit
I have played the old course at Grand Cypress but never this one. So it was a very pleasant surprise to play something completely different that the other course. Pot bunkers, wide fairways, lots of twists and turns made for a fun and manageable round.
Did not care for links layout
Shared greens were a challenge. Difficult to determine fairway for each course. Fairway moguls/bunkers were a challenge.
There was a group of seven ahead of us. We were just two and they did not offer to let us play through. We went around them on one hole.
Green fee was good value, but purchasing refreshments on course was ridiculously expensive for the quality of the food.
True Links Style Golf
This was an absolute treat to play. This is very different then nearly every other course in Orlando. The course was in fantastic shape, especially given the recent drought. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend checking this course out if you have never played it before. Make sure to miss in the correct spots out here, otherwise, you may leave yourself some tough up-and-downs!!
Beautiful course with lots of bunkers
Highly recommend course. Booking was easy and service great. Carts didn't have GPS so would have liked a more detailed map one on back of card small and just bunker positioning in cart. Matched up with another couple which was nice. Would visit again and we had some bar starter food yummy.
Excellent course to play with friends
Beautiful layout, extremely dangerous bunkers, big greens and no trees.
Great place to score and to play with friends (or bet with then).
The New Course at Grand Cypress
The course conditions was very good considering the drought situation. The fairways were very wide. The widest I have ever played. However there were bunkers everywhere. I does not matter how long or short you hit the ball there was a bunker there requiring some measure of aim or luck to avoid. The greens were in good condition, receptive to good shots, and rolled good.
There was not as much break on many of the putts as I was reading into them.
Playing in a foursome we caught another group about half way through the round who slowed our play a bit ergo the lower pace of play rating.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to play again on a future trip to Orlando area.
Fun course, poor staff coordination
Played the New course for the first time. Very fun to play and interesting design. Signed up as a single. Pro shop asked if I'd move up a few minutes to be paired with a twosome. Arriving at first tee, starter was unhappy they had done that. Requested I drive out to second hole and join another group. Wasn't thrilled with this but I did it. Expected better service from a place like Grand Cypress. I'll play there again though, course itself was great.
new course at grand cypress is Links style course
Always in GREAT shape. They have three other 9's so they always rotate the maintaince and give first class conditions. Greens were fast, as usual. Its wide open off the tee, definitely a second shot course. Many tee selections for varying abilities. Lots pot bunkers you don't see until you in them. A course once you play 1-2 times you can really score well on by avoiding trouble.
Excellent layout..Moderately tough challenge
The layout of the course is very unique relative to neighboring courses in the area. Conditions were great with only exception being greens rolling somewhat on the slow side. Cloud cover mixed in with some wind made for an authentic feel on the links style course for the day. Will definitely return.
AWESOME LINKS EXPERIENCE!!!!!
I had been wanting to play this course for a long time. Finally I was able to. To simply say the experience was far and above my expectations, would be an understatement. I , and my friend , found the course and layout was worth the price. We will most definitely play this New course again.
Must play
Greens were rolling fast. Course had a great layout. It's nice to play links golf in Florida. I will play again next time I'm up in the area. Teed off early and virtually has no one in front on the front 9. When we played the back, guys in front had a very slow scramble in front of us. Besides that. Worth every penny.
Great links course! Greens are as tough as you'll find anywhere.
We had a tee time to play18 holes in the East Course. Once we got there we were told we had to play the first 9 holes in the East Course and then change to the North Course for the back 9 holes. Ok no problem. What they did not tell me was that foursome's teeing up on the North Course would have priority from the players coming from the East Course. That made our back 9 holes never ending. Made me lost my concentration and I lost interest in the game. Truly disappointing and frustrating.
Great course and facilities
Played in the afternoon as much cheaper if you can stand the heat it's definitely worth it.
The course is in fantastic condition and greens very receptive.
Can tell they have tried to model it on Scottish courses by the undulations, bunkers and grasses used and it has paid off.
And the facilities are 1st class with showers and towels available in the locker room which were used by one of us after a particularly hot day.
Coming back to play the north/south course next week
Fun Course
I had a very enjoyable round. Came as a single and was paired with two very pleasant golfers. Course is interesting and open, quite forgiving of off-line tee shots. Fairways were firm and well conditioned.
Greens were much faster than they looked.
A round includes free unlimited use of the range, but on the day I was there the range was using mats to hit off.
Wide Open
The course is in excellent condition. The starter was very informative and friendly. The pot hole bunkers are more than a challenge . Stairs to enter. There are a few holes with double greens and color of flag identifies front greens from back. A little tight at this point if you hit wide of green those hitting to the other green could be hitting close to you. Good value and recommend.
Great course
The New course is great. First time on links course. Holes not overly long (I'm short hitter) and was wide open. Setting was beautiful. Had 3 hour rain delay -obviously not their fault. Worth the money. Would definitely play it again
